Effective Monday, February 7, 2011, former Allcare Patients, may Contact the Office of Dr. Timothy M. Spears at 818 Oakwood Road, Charleston, West Virginia (304) 346-3993 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. regarding retrieval of their patient records and possible future dental care.

Former Allcare Patients affected by the closure have the following options:

1. Elect to continue their dental care with Dr. Timothy M. Spears as can be agreed upon between the parties.

2. Elect to continue their dental care from a list of local dentists that have agreed to review their records and assist in their future dental care as can be agreed upon between them. Patients may obtain a list of these local dentists from Dr. Timothy M. Spears.

3. Elect to obtain a copy of their patient record and seek continued dental care from a dentist of their choice.

The West Virginia Board of Dental Examiners (Board) has received many complaints regarding the abrupt closure of Allcare. The Board is diligently working to process all complaints. The Board does not have jurisdiction to seek restitution or recover monetary lose or damages, but these matters should be directed to the West Virginia Attorney General Consumer Protection Division at (304)558-8986 or private legal counsel.
